last weekend, Janet Johnson and Sampson Davis wed in Concord. They are both refugees from Liberia , and remarkably did not come to the states together. Their incredible story of how they reunited is inspiring, and best read in the words of Chelsea (a Monitor reporter) here. And as Chelsea puts it, it really was a day of celebration...
Balanced well-being. A lofty goal that will surely take a lifetime’s worth of work. Nothing about it is easy, but you can turn the pursuit into something that rather enjoyable in the day-to-day, if you really care to.
I am currently sorting through my own career, relationship, and extracurricular values these days. And while I’ll never pretend to have figured it out, I share my learnings in the hopes they resonate with you. From recipes to theater, friendships to travel, boredom to “growing up”, Wanderslice is my little nook in which to display what I’m doing to achieve balance in my life. I misstep all the time, occasionally hit a few gems, but pretty much always enjoy being able to laugh at myself (friends are good for that, too).
I invite you to stop by, take a look, and possibly come across something that is meaningful to you. Comments and feedback are always welcome – in fact encouraged – and the more honest the better. Happy browsing!

Love these - but especially love the one of the girls in the stairwell - it REALLY pops.
